Moving toward a safer studio:


Non-Toxic printmaking can start with the proper handling of harmful chemicals. If you can not go green today... reduce the amount of chemicals in the shop. All shops must have adequate ventilation that runs constantly. Reduce the canister size that hold the well marked chemicals. 


A less toxic alternative is to move to water based ink. Switch acids from highly corrosive Nitric to Ferric chloride to etch.
